Boston College Transfers

Yeah BC is very tricky in their wording....to be honest with you though that does not negate your accomplishment considering BC is notoriously IMPOSSIBLE to get into as a transfer. Even if they are stretching the truth with the 75 figure I doubt the overall acceptance rate pushed 15%. Congratulations, you should be EXTREMELY proud of yourself considering those factors.

yeah, I just got my waitlist letter...

horsegirl050: Are you going to add your name to the waitlist? If they only accepted 75 transfers, it is still significant that you made the waitlist IMHO.

Any idea how many were waitlisted? I am not sure if that is on their website or not...

yes, I did add my name to the waitlist. BC is my first choice, so I'm definitely going to pursue it.

No clue on the waitlist numbers...is your D also on the waitlist?

Waitlisted. Not accepting the spot - I'm ecstatic I'll be joining Georgetown's Class of 2011. Best of luck to you all!

I'm probably going to turn them down, pending my financial aid award. I got into Wesleyan, my first choice, so I have to see how the money goes.

EDIT: I applied to A & S as a Chemistry major, with an intended double major in Psychology.

Waitlisted :-( Will accept the spot but not too hopeful

also waitlisted...i wonder how many they waitlist?

For the kids who got waitlisted, what are your stats? I feel like you guys probably had much better stats than me.

I had a 3.4 in HS, a 3.94 at American University in DC, 2110 SATs, 750/730/690 SAT IIs, average ECs

Hey Guys, I just got my acceptance letter! I had a 3.4 at NYU first semester and closer to a 3.8 second semester, with 1280/1600 SATS. Good Luck to everyone, feel free to ask me questions.

Latechaaaa... waitlisted for the second year in a row! :( 3.75 in HS and a 3.933 and 3.75 at syracuse university first and second semester... low SAT scores though. anybody know how many people they put on the waitlist??

Hey...I just received my acceptance letter on Friday! I will be an incoming junior transfer in the fall. Is anyone else a junior? Here are some of my stats:

GPA at Providence College: 3.63, 3.73, 3.88, 4.0
GPA in HS: 3.88

Congrats to everyone accepted...hope to see ya at orientation! :-)

accepted.

HS GPA: 3.7 ish.... around there.
College GPA: 4.0 First semester / 3.7 Second semester.
SAT I = 1950
SAT IIs = (Math IIC/720, Bio M/610, US History/520)
APs = (Psych/5, Euro/4, Calc BC/3, Physics C/1)

not so great but somehow i got in.
i will take it. haha.

i paid my $500 deposit today.
im going to bc for sure.
anyone else going for sure ?

I withdrew my admission today, crappy financial aid. I got $16100 in scholarship at BC, opposed to $28600 at Wesleyan and the $29000 I'm getting at Bard already.

For the waitlisters, don't fret, BC accepted most of the CC waitlisted students who remained on the list over the summer last year... You can dig up the old thread to confirm, I'm too tired to do so myself. :D
