Hey guys, I am hoping to get some input on my current situation. I have been accepted to Boston University and Boston College. For BU, I was admitted in the Human Physiology program (which I hear great things about) but at BC, I would just be majoring in general Bio. The physiology program has all pre-med prerequisites built into it, includes many internship opportunities, and is just much more appealing to me than studying general Bio. But, Boston College does have better prestige and is considered a better school overall by most. So, what do you guys think?

not a lot of money from either school
@ThatSerb Not sure where you heard BC is more prestigious than BU, but BU has a better pre-med program, offers more than BC. You just answered your own question… BU is a better option
BC is much more selective than BU and it is considered more “prestigious”. but for pre-med, BU is the better choice due to a stronger STEM focus.
BC offers a much better, fuller college experience, is more selective and the campus blows BU’s out of the water.
You have to drill down on the numbers to see which school is the best ramp to medical school. My gut tells me BC is on par.
BC is the more “prestigious” school overall but they both seems to offer strong programs. Think about differences between them and what type of experience you want over the next four years…ex. do you want a traditional campus, big time sports, Greek Life etc.
My son is pre-med at BU (just finished his sophomore year) and has applied to BU Medical School early admission (MMEDIC program). If he is accepted (he will know in July), he will start with med school courses in the fall. BU has been a wonderful experience for him and he couldn’t be happier. One of my brothers went to BC and had a great experience. As others have said, it depends on what you want in a school experience. I just wanted to mention MMEDIC in case you had not heard about it. Best of luck!
I would go with BC even for pre-med. BC is the better school, even if it doesn’t have a med school. You could also look at Northeastern which is somewhat between BC and BU.
