Boston College vs NYU Stern

Hey everybody, I’m down to two options that I’m seriously considering. I got into BC CSOM for Economics and NYU Stern’s Business and Political Economy program.

Location-wise, I prefer Manhattan to the more suburban Chesnut Hill, but I really like that BC has more of a campus (and easy access to Boston). With that said, I have no problem with NYU’s lack of a campus.

The BPE Program at NYU is fairly new and I would get to spend my sophomore year in London and half of junior year in Shanghai. I would probably prefer it to the Economics program at BC but I’m not sure. It’s also pretty selective I hear.

The price tags for each are within $1000 of each other so it really isn’t an issue.

Could anyone give pros/cons of these programs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

bump…

lol… I wish I could help you, but I’m down to the same two schools (different program at BC, same at NYU)… To be honest, I’m visiting both schools extensively and I’ll see after I visit both…

NYU stern is a much more prestigious business school. If you are looking to go into that field, NYU will be your best bet. Being in manhattan will also give you the opportunity to make way more connections for internships. Location wise, NYC is a thousand times better of a location compared to Chestnut Hill.

They are both great schools, but in my opinion, BC can’t even compete with Stern.

Once again, EXPLAIN how NYU is “so much more prestigious” than BC Carroll?
