Boston College vs. UCONN

I am currently deciding between these two schools. How much better is Boston College academically? Is it worth it to pay more to go to a more prestigious school? I received a full tuition scholarship from UCONN and would be able to attend for $12,000 or possibly less a year. Attending BC would cost me around $23,000 a year. I was accepted into UCONN's honors program, would this help make the academics at UCONN closer to the level of those at BC? I am undeclared in terms of a major.

Thank you

BC is certainly the higher ranked school, but you can get a fine education at either place and being in the honors program at UConn is a plus. Consider what your family can comfortably afford. If both are do-able then the two schools have a number of differences you should consider such as …Jesuit v Public school, BC is near Boston while UConn is not near a major city, UConn is probably a good bit larger, do you want Greek life? etc.
