Boston College vs University of Florida? Please help!

I really REALLY love BC, but parents would have to pay 24,000 a year, and I would have 14,000 in student loans when I graduate. Our EFC is around 13,000. What I’m mainly worried about is how my parents are going to manage that… but they are willing to pay if I want to go. I do, but I don’t want to be a financial burden to my family. I was also wait listed to several top schools, but the chances of being taken off are slim.

… on the other hand, I would have to pay 12,000 to go to UF with 0 student loans.

For BC, I’m currently planning on majoring in psychology with a neuroscience concentration and going into pre-med. As far as other interests go, I also like the idea of international studies. For UF, I would be interested in their neurobiological studies/pre-med program (brains are pretty cool). I would also be interested in joining doctors without borders or peace corps in the future.

Please help, I’m stuck!

save the $$ for grad/med school.

I am impressed that you do not want to burden your parents. I agree with blue bayou that you should go with UF and not rack up loans if you have an interest in med school. Med school loans can be crushing so if you can avoid undergrad loans you would be wise to do so.
