Boston College vs. Villanova University

Hello!
Can anyone point out some of the real pros and cons of Boston College and Villanova? How does the atmosphere differ between the two colleges? Both schools seem wonderful and i was just looking for a little more insight on the two. Does the party scene have a dominant influence on either? diversity...ect

Thanks!!

any info in general...?

maybe try posting on the bc forum and the villanova one. sorry I don't know enough to help you.

Villanova always gets slammed for a supposed lack of diversity, but according to collegeboard 75%-white, 25%-other ethnicity

and at BC, it's 70% white, 30% other ethnicity.

I think the campuses are both very attractive. Its a suburb of Boston versus of suburb of Philadelphia. Its a real coin toss.

Villanova has great basketball history.

Both schools attract similar types of students and possess similar campus environments. Academically, both Villanova and BC will give you similar opportunities in the pursuit of employment, graduate studies etc.

Thanks. I was really drawn towards BC's academics and campus (Boston is hard to beat), but someone said the student population had a reputation for being very arrogant. At the same time, a few people said I'd be crazy not to go to Nova (but they might be a bit biased because of relative alumni). Athletics seem great at both schools...Where would you go?
Happy Holidays

Villanova.

Boston College, hands down.

i would argue that boston college has a discernable edge in this regard

I don't want to say this is a no-brainer, but....this is a no-brainer...BC. Better academics, name recognition, sports, location (BC's campus overlaps the Newton/Boston line...it's not "out in the suburbs" as some people would have you believe--there is no town of Chestnut Hill...it's a post office and neighborhod). Nicer campus, more successful alumni network, Jesuit, etc. No-brainer.

only real difference besides location is that nova has engineering, while BC does not.
