I enrolled at another school. Wbu? Did you email your regional counselor to express continued interest in the school?
Does anyone know where I can find the admit rates of each individual school?
I am not sure. I know that they let off 212 people from the waitlist last year.
I don’t know if they break it out. Last year, admissions commented that they accepted from all four schools. There were no numbers or percentages.
Yeah I know, I just meant overall admit rate of each school
Where did you get the 212 number? I actually walked into the admissions office in the fall and asked how many students were admitted off of the waitlist and they told me 117.
@cccrsn. I have not seen them published. My understanding is that CAS has the highest acceptance rate and CSOM is the toughest for acceptance.
Historically, there is not a lot of difference in admit rates between A&S and CSOM. However, gender likely plays a part at CSOM. The vast majority of B-schools give a plus factor to female applicants, and not sure why BC would be any different. (BC does not publish the stats, so this is only speculation on my part.) Relevant EC’s and math scores (can AP Calc) are also valued in b-schools.
The point is that the applicant pool can be different, so comparing raw admit rates borders on apples-oranges.
Has anyone received a response from their regional counselor?
Yes
What did he/she say?
Has anyone received any communication from admissions regarding waitlist status?
@ABEagle My regional counselor told me a few days ago that it’s going to take about a week or two to monitor their enrollment to see if they need to pull from the waitlist. I think it says something similar on their Twitter.
@jenjen2021 Thanks for the update. They emailed some acceptances as early as 5/6 last year, according to posts. My advisor said it would be a couple of weeks, too. I’m sure they are inundated with everything right now. They are very organized though so I would be surprised to see some action next Friday. Praying for you, too!
@ABEagle yea I saw some of those posts too. This is truly a tough waiting game. I hope it all works out for you! You’ll be happy wherever you go. Good luck to you
@jenjen2021 I am sure you will be, too. i am not unhappy about my current choice. I just feel BC is very special. There is something truly different there. I will post if I hear and please do, too. Hopefully, others will, too. I hope to see you there. To which school did you apply?
@ABEagle I feel the same! BC is a wonderful school. I love the overall environment and dedication to service. It would be a dream to attend. I’m waitlisted at Lynch. Wbu?
Just an aside - Lynch is a great school. My best friend is majoring in Secondary Ed and loves it.
I applied to MCAS. I talked to people who attended BC. They loved it.
Yep! MCAS is great too! I’m a bio major and the teachers for both the liberal arts side of things and the sciences are really good.
