I was waitlisted as well. I am super bummed because I applied ED and got deferred and now I am waitlisted. It is a whole lot a waiting. Should we email the LOCI directly to our AO or do we upload it to the portal when it opens April 1?
My daughter uploaded her letter to the portal but if I remember correctly she also emailed her admissions counselor to let her know that she uploaded it.
Last year, BC misjudged yield and relied on its waitlist a lot more than usual. I assume admissions made some adjustments this year in the hopes of avoiding this happening again (such as admitting more people through ED). That said, it’s not an exact science, especially this year with so many RD applications.
Like mmared said we should probably upload our LOCI to the portal and email our AO.
I emailed my AC today
does anyone know if every waitlisted person gets an decision (you are off the waitlist and accepted OR you are not admitted) or do only the people admitted off waitlist get contacted?
Only the kids that are admitted get contacted. Eventually the WL is closed and sometimes you’ll get an email or message in your portal telling you it’s closed.
i don’t see anywhere on my portal to upload a LOCI. should i wait a few days to see if something appears or just email a LOCI to my admission associate (as it says not to send any individual application materials to admission counselor)?
In the waitlist letter they said there will be a place to turn a LOCI starting April 1
May I ask what you included in that email?
ohhh i was looking at the letter in my portal and it didn’t say anything about that but i should have looked at the email confirming waitlist instead lol
thanks!
There was only a simply question in portal, do you accept a position in the waitlist, Yes or No. We picked Yes. That is it.
Yes I just reaffirmed my interest, provided updates, and thanked them
I will go more into depth in my letter
Quick question for everyone. Was your waitlist letter from your individual admission officer or from someone else?
Admission Officer
Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this information! Just wondering did she upload it through her portal as a letter of continued interest or did she email it directly to her admissions counselor? Also, did she do anything else that may have helped her get off the waitlist?
She uploaded it to the portal as a letter and attached it to an email to her admissions counselor. I don’t think she did anything else…perhaps a few prayers! Good luck!
she got the call a few days after the decision day? so like late march early april ?
