Boston Latin - How do they actually calculate an applicants "score"

I am looking for information on how the Boston Public Schools calculates a students "score" for admission to the Boston Latin School (as well as the other exams schools). I undertand from the BPS website that admision is based 50% on grades in English and Math (final grades from 5th grade and first two quarters for 6th grade) and 50% on ISEE scores. However, I can't seem to find how they normalize/scale the two seperate criteria for scoring.

Is there a way I can calculate what my childs "score" would be since I now know all his applicable grades in English and Math as well as his ISEE scores.

Also, I know from the BPS website that decsions are made in mid March. Does anyone know how far after 3/10 that typically is ?

Any infromation/links appreciated

I believe the decisions are usually mailed late March. I do not know how to calculate the “score” of an applicant, but the better the ISEE score, the better the chance of being admitted.

i have been wondering the same thing.
