Boston Leadership Institute

My daughter got accepted (not difficult - it’s just a paper application) the the BLI Neuroscience program - three weeks this summer (2015). Does anyone have any experience with this? How good/rigorous is the program? How does it compare to Johns Hopkins CTY? Thanks for ANY feedback!

Hi there. I am an international student who just got accepted to the program, but I’m not sure if I will be attending it.

I couldn’t find much information on the program online, and all the comments on CollegeConfidential on the program have been made by accounts which just have 1-2 posts (all of which, SURPRISE SURPRISE, are pro-BLI comments haha).

The program definitely looks a bit shady, but Dr. Sarah Richards, who will be the mentor for the Neuroscience Research program, is well-known and seems like a great person. I think I’m going to email the co-ordinators of the program and will request them to get me in touch with a few past students of the program.

The program looks really great on paper, but it does seem a bit murky.

My son was accepted into the Brown Leadership Institute and will take a public policy class this summer. I would love to hear about what past students say about it.
