I applied to both Boston University and the University of Delaware. But I'm really not sure where to go. I feel like Boston would be nice because it's in the city. But Delaware seems nice too... i just can't decide. So far I got into Delaware. If I get into Boston as well, what would be the better choice in terms of academics and the overall college experience?

Depends on money and what kind of experience you’re looking for. BU is crazy expensive but gives out decent merit aid. It’s also not exactly the traditional college campus - you’ll be immersed right into Boston, which some view as great, and others view as a little overwhelming. Personally, I think Boston is a great place to spend your college years. A friend of mine at BU this year is living right in Kenmore Square, how cool is that?! But if you’re looking for a more traditional college campus with lots of green space and pretty buildings - or money’s an issue - UDel is a great school too.

wow i didn’t realize boston was more expensive…but i applied for financial aid so hopefully ill get good packages.

Besides the money factor, which would be the better school to go to??

Boston is considered by many the #1 college “town” in the country. I would choose Boston without a second thought, but, the U of D has many good traits.

The University of Delaware is in the middle of nowhere (trust me, I live here). There is almost no public transportation. However, if you have a car, you’ll be in your glory because you’ll be about an hour from Ocean City (both of them), an hour or so from Philly, two hours from Baltimore, three to four hours to NYC, and two and a half hours from DC. Delaware also has a great campus feel, a cool little “college town” (more like “college street”), and an excellent student center. The U of D has a lot of school spirit. It’s also much, much cheaper than Boston.
