Boston U vs Emory

I am aware that the general population is more likely to have heard of Emory. But to the employers in the financial sector, which university would provide me with the better starting point?

I think Emory will be better

LSE as in London School of Economics?? did you get admitted there??? if you do, you might want to consider it an honor…WOW!

Yeah, London School of Economics, how is it viewed and compared in the US? Would it be more like Columbia, Uchicago or NYU?
I am actually a high school student in the UK, applying for US and UK universities. At the moment my plan is to choose LSE over Emory and then trying for a US grad school in 3 years time.

“But to the employers in the financial sector, which university would provide me with the better starting point?”

where are you referring to? US? New York? Hong Kong?..Atlanta? London?

If you are planning on returning to UK, while Emory is very well respected, I imagine the LSE would be moreso…

LSE is definetly better in terms of rep (internationally ill imagine)
I live in hong kong and no one has even heard of emory…(by no one i mean recruiters from big 4, general population)
even though emory is a great school and i kinda regret not commiting there :stuck_out_tongue: however if u wish to work in the US. both are equal in most respects

Emory for suree!!! BU is a good school too, but I think you should decide based on what you want to study and what each school provides, specifically for you. GOOD LUCK!

I meant working in the US in the future (and possibly Hong Kong). Would LSE be a better choice than Emory?

okay im totally sure for hong kong. as we were once under british rule we favor top uk unis such as LSE. LSE will get u really top jobs here

in the US im guessing both Emory and LSE will be similar. However rmbr that LSE is a TOP (as in top 5) in the uk for BUSINESS/ECON. while subjectively Emory can be anywhere from rank 6 or 12 (there are still nyu, umich, cal, penn, mit, usc, ut etc) which is arguably more respected in business

LSE btw has the same prestige i would say as Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, UChicago etc in majority of the world

^ Cornell has much more international prestige than Dartmouth… In fact, I don’t even think its comparable so idk how you are grouping all of them in one category.
