Boston U vs. U Pitt

Rolling admissions is great because you can get accepted before the holidays and it takes some pressure off.

sounds convinient. Do the spots fill up fast? Like, are applicants really hurried to get accepted? Becasue I probably won’t apply till the end of october to U Pitt.

bump? (i don’t like doing this, but…)

UCSD has a great reputation in the neuro and biosciences. However, I can’t speak directly to their undergrad program. I think their campus would be the least urban. I think you’d definitely want a car in San Diego to take advantage of the city.

You should be fine applying in October, but it is a really easy application if I remember correctly. I think that you write an essay if you want to be considered for scholarships–definitely write the essay.

I know what I said earlier, and I stick to it. BU is not compared to the top level schools in Massachusetts in undergraduate education. And, I never said it was worse than Northeastern, but comparing BU to BC is like comparing Fordham to NYU. They are good schools, but there is a clear difference. Also, BC is the lower end of the top schools I was mentioning earlier. Nothing wrong with BU, I just have a personal bias. I apologize if I hurt anyone’s feelings.

I’m glad you would prefer Pitt. I applied in August, and found out the first week of October, but my friend didn’t get in (He applied around November). He had better grades and scores than me, but I guess they are more selective when there are fewer spots left.
