BOSTON UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS: does the school you're applying to impact your chances of getting in?

hi, i applied ed to bu to the school of education. some of my statistics are lower than BU’s averages so im worried about my chances of getting in. however, i am applying to the school of ed, and my intended major is early childhood education. i was thinking that particular program isn’t super competitive, so maybe i have a higher chance of getting in compared to someone applying to engineering or businesses for example.

so my question is, do i have a better chance of getting in to bu because the program i am applying to isn’t as competitive?

Did you check out CGS option on the commonapp? That’s what I did for.

You have the same chance as anyone applying to CAS. It’s supposedly harder to get into Questrom and ENG, supposedly easier to get into CGS, and the rest have about equally likely chances. Just because it is not a competitve program does not mean an unqualified candidate will be accepted, but just because some of your stats are lower does not mean you are unqualified or not competitive.
