I know that BU is not a perticuarly recruited school for investment banking, but is the fact that it is in Boston and you would have access to internships in Boston, help in looking for ibanking jobs? Most of the BBs have offices in boston.

Same with Rutgers. Is the fact that it is so close to Ny help? For internships/job placement at investment banks?

Can anyone compare the two schools? Their undergrad Business programs?

I'm not going into I-banking, so I can't speak from experience, but are you sure that BU isn't recruited by most firms? Just a quick glance at our e-Recruiting webiste, I see postings for positions at Merril Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Goldman Sachs along with 83 other firms that have listings for I-Banking.

In terms of finding a job, I can tell you that you shouldn't have a problem if you went to BU--I can't really speak for Rutgers, though the opportunities are a little better in New York than Boston.

In terms of the undergrad program itself, I, again, can't say much about Rutgers; however, I do highly recommend BU's School of Management. The program is very unique and comprehensive. You won't sleep much during certain semesters, but you'll develop a lot of skills that other students don't during their four years. Definitely, at the very least, learn more about the program and speak to a few students who have finished the SMG Core.
