If not Boston University's BA/MD would i stand a chance for any others? Thanks for the feedback guys =]

I’ll chance back
just leave a link

thanks guy! =]

anyonnnee? please
ill chance back?

With these BA/MD programs, you can’t really provide an accurate ‘chance.’ A substantial part of your application will come from your essays and your interview. But, looking at what you have written, it seems like you are on the right track.
However, do note that BA/MD programs are some of the most competitive in the nation, and some people turn down HYP to go to them.

even with my gpa?
i worked really hard to mask
that gpa with medical extra curricular
activities but i still feel like a gpa is
reallly important

I believe that Boston will be a match for you. I think that your GPA is your weak spot but your ACT score hides that. It is tough to say whether or not you will get into this specific program though, as previously stated. I wish you the best of luck!

anyone else?
ill chance back!

I’d say you would have a great chance. Your ECs are great and your gpa weighted is almost perfect. I think it would come down to the interview and you essays whether or not you get in. But this is just my opinion in the end. Good luck and i hope you make it!

Not to be a downer haha but apply widely. Your ECs are pretty amazing so you will have a great shot at any program if you reach the interview stage and can talk about those medical ECs well. Some programs you can look into include SLU, Temple, Albany med programs, Miami, UMKC, and Drexel.

In terms of BU, your GPA and ACT may be on the lower end. I generally go with a ballpark UW GPA of 3.80+ with the most rigorous curriculum offered and a SAT of 2250+ (ACT 34+) as sort of a benchmark after which your ECs, if really strong, can pull you through to the interview stage even if you’re not a 3.95, 2350 applicant (which is who you’re going to be competing against). Lower than that and you better have some really great hook as to what makes you an awesome candidate.

that really helps out alot guys thanks!
I will deffinetely look into other programs based
on what im hearing

Your extracurriculars are pretty good, but to be honest that GPA would significantly lower your chances especially with a not-so-outstanding ACT score. I’ve talked to a couple kids in the BU SMED program and they said when looking for a good fit student, they look for someone with other interests too like being an artist or cellist or something. Take the advice of others and definitely look at other places like Drexel, Miami, RPI/AMC, Penn State/Jeff and such. Bottom line, do everything you can to get that GPA up and then you have a good shot.

A 33 ACT score being deemed “not-so-outstanding”?
Only on CC!

Is it possible to get in with lots of b’s and one c in chemistry?

Where did you do all your Brain Research at?
Thanks

UPitt
Our business gives me the opportunity to meet with a lot of
interesting people

Has anyone else applied to this Program that could chance me? thanks =]

By the way my gpa unweighted is actually a 3.608 and weighted 3.9
