Boston University Chances RD!

<p>hey guys so bu is my absolute top choice, but to be honest, i don’t think i’m going to get in. would anybody be able to give me an honest opinion based on my stats? p.s. i didn’t apply ed bc i was afraid it would not work out financially for me</p>

gpa:3.6-3.7</p>

<p>math - 4 years (3 honors)
ss - 4 years (2 aps - us history & gov) (in addition, ap euro senior year)
english - 4 years (2 aps - language & lit)
science - 3 years (yikes)
french - 2 years (yikes)</p>

<p>17 music credits (selective classes, ap music theory)</p>

<p>leadership - color guard captain, international thespian honors society president, womens chorus student director, concert choir director, music honors society executive board</p>

<p>extracurricular activities - 5 years of marching band, participation in 9 school/community musical productions, church choir</p>

<p>part-time job</p>

<p>i also applied to boston college, northeastern university, stonehill college, manhattan college, fordham university, suny binghamton, and suny geneseo</p>

<p>i also wanna mention that i can honestly say my application essay was the best thing i’ve ever written; i worked really hard on it.</p>

<p>i visited the school and did the tour and stuff and requested information…hopefully that helps!</p>

<p>Well I know for BU, there number 1 “most important” criteria is the rigor of you school record. As long as you took the hardest classes your school has to offer I think you have a great shot at acceptance. Your ACT and GPA are at par with their standards, and your EC’s and leadership roles are excellent. Hopefully your essay will be good so that can boost up your chances. The fact that you did the tour means you have shown an interest in the school which is good and helps a little. Overall you have a great shot at acceptance. I find it funny that we’re applying to alot of the same schools =P. Good Luck with BU and the rest of your schools. Hope you get in!</p>
