So decisions ate coming out soon!!! I applied ED myself praying every night that I get in. Here’s what we could do: we could talk about what we want to do at BU, and once decisions come out, post any acceptances and your stats!!

Example:

ACCEPTED: School of Management
GPA- 4.0 uw
SAT- 1850

I also applied ED. I applied to COM. I’m stressing and can’t stop thinking about it! ugh! It has been giving me multiple panic attacks over the past 2 weeks. Hopefully by the end of next week I’ll be able to post something positive here once I hear back!
Supposedly over 1,000 seniors applied ED to BU this year, which is 300 more than last year.
Good luck to all of you!

Wowowow over 1000?? That is a bit more than last year. I applied to SMG. I’m so nervous I really want to get into BU so badly… And I want to know when they start sending them out!!!

Applied ED to SAR for occupational therapy, I cannot wait!!! Good luck everyone! And has anyone else’s applicant link say our review of your application is complete? Does that mean the decision has been made? So nervous.

ahhhh i applied ED to CAS for biology.
sososso anxious to get the decision. apparently last year people got it on dec 10th instead of 15th! hope that happens for us too…

Also, I saw your question a while ago about the subject tests - I heard that schools like BU don’t weigh them that heavily.

Someone made a good point - a native chinese speaker could take the chinese one and score an 800 - does that mean he is more qualified than someone who got lets say a 600 on the math subject test? No, the chinese was just easy because he speaks chinese.

That being said, I think good scores on subject tests can definitely be an advantage.

I only got a 620 on math and a 600 on the literature one, so I’m a bit worried about them. But i have a 2100 sat so Im hoping that does me some good.

Good luck to all of you. My daughter was in your shoes last year, and I remember how stressful it was. She got good news and is very happy at BU.

Last year they released the decisions on Friday afternoon (the 10th) around 3:00.

Hey rthbell, I didn’t do as well on sat 1(2010), but pretty good on one subject test and okay on the other (750 math 2) and (640 us history), oh and gpa is 4.4/5…my school is ultra competitive though( so on its naviance it says avg. accepted to BU is 4.0/5…ya the classes are really hard, like a c+ in an ap guarantees you at least 4 on the exam…

On my BU admissions account it says “Our records indicate that review of your application for admission is complete. Please be aware that all applicants are expected to submit senior grades as soon as they are available.”

I sent in my senior grades 2 weeks ago because that’s when it became available. I think what it said then is different than what it says now, but I’m not totally sure. Does this mean they didn’t get my grades or it’s just a general message for everyone and they’ve already reviewed my application? Scary thought that they might have already made their decision about me!

My gpa is a 3.6 and ACT is a 28. I only sent in my ACT because I didn’t take any subject tests and I was still under the impression that you could sent in ACT with SAT in lieu of subject tests and SAT. I think they changed option that over the summer.

On naviance it says that 4 people got accepted and 4 people got denied from BU ED. My average gpa and ACT are also the average for my school on naviance. I think BU has a 3.6 and a 27 ACT average. So basically my stats can lead me to any sort of outcome.

I like knowing where I’m going to be in my future, so it’s really stressful not knowing where I’m going to be a year from now!

I truly wish the best of luck to all of you and hopefully we’ll all hear before the 15th!

On mine it says “Our records currently indicate that your application for admission is complete. Please note that the status of your application file and the required credentials are only accurate to date.” Does this mean something different than those that say “review of your application is complete?”

Do you know if you sent in your senior grades yet? Or how long ago you sent them? Does yours say anything like “Please be aware that all applicants are expected to submit senior grades as soon as they are available.”

Maybe it just means that they haven’t looked over your application yet or maybe you’re missing something. Quite honestly I don’t know what the answer to your question. If everything has been submitted, it should definitely change to saying the review of your application is complete within the next few days
