Accepted into college of engineering! Surprisingly good fin. aid offer but no merit aid =( ah well. I don’t think I’ll attend if only because the aid isn’t quite enough (when you factor in the loan amounts) D: but hopefully I’ll help someone get off the waitlist =D

Does anyone know anything about the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences program? Might other programs merit more scholarships, since it seems to be such a specialized program with a small number of students?

ACCEPTED TO COLLEGE OF GENERAL SCIENCES!!! I didn’t get a good financial package so I am probably not going there, but I am still ridiculously happy! Congrats to everyone else!!! There were only 3,900 people accepted out of 45,000, so congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to those who were deferred.

^no there are probably going to be 3,900 attending. If there were only 3,900 accepted, that would be in IVY range. Much more are accepted but around 3,900 attend.

i got a little bit of money from the FAFSA, but BU is INSANE if they think i’m paying 50k a year when RPI offered me 25K. i made an appointment with someone at the financial aid office so hopefully things will work out. if not, so be it.
Other acceptances: RPI (25K), Rutgers, Penn State, Syacuse (13K)
Rejected: U Chicago, UNC-Chapel Hill, BC
Waitlisted: Northeastern
Waiting: Trinity College, Columbia, U Rochester, Davidson College, Tulane, USC, NYU
my common app essay was solid (it was about my trip to auschwitz) and my supplemental essay i thought was really strong and creative. my recs were amazing. all in all i’m really happy to get in; i applied to 3 schools in the boston area and was nervous when BC rejected me and northeastern waitlisted me so i’m excited.

to all who did not get accepted:
i feel your pain: i got rejected from BC, UNC, and U Chicago (my DREAM school) yesterday, and waitlisted at northeastern. keep in mind that this is only one school and it’s not the end of the world. you can have a great college experience with lots of fun and learning even if it’s not at your dream school (if it’s BU…or U Chicago like me). chins up everyone :)

Accepted to SMG. 3.47 UW GPA. 28 ACT. Strong ec’s, rec’s, and essay. ).I didnt get any merit aid, but i think il be going here. Still deciding between BU and GWU. Asian from NY
