Boston University-Fall 2019- Transfer

Do you guys think there will be another big wave today

girl i hope. didnt they have one last week?

@mxchills I think so, but I’m still at 3 paragraphs so I doubt I’d be apart of this wave anyways :frowning:

@College838 You have to put a deposit down by June 1. For housing a deposit is due by July 1.

I’m on the same boat, this has me checking my app every hour lmao @ajsaxton

Accepted into CAS as an Economics major a few days ago. I can post my stats if anyone is interested.

Are you a freshman?

@senems4m please do post ur stats and college too if possible

Just letting everyone know that decisions will come out for everyone before May begins since that’s when Transfer Open House and all the Accepted Students day for Transfers begin so don’t worry about waiting for a decision until May or June.

For The Housing Deposit you can submit it as late as Mid-August but I highly recommend you submit it as soon as possible since it will be easier to give you good housing…although with housing it’s very hit or miss. You can either get good housing or you can sadly get stuck in a triple. Transfers are you placed all over campus except the Stuvi’s. So good luck to everyone!

@bu2018student But last year’s thread people seemed to get decisions until end of June even, and it seemed like towards end of May/June people got more and more rejections, is that true?

@Suzzy ya I agree I think they keep sending out decisions later than April but ppl also get waitlisted, so maybe those are the ppl who got waitlisted or were told they were missing something last minute

OMG GUYS I GOT ACCEPTED TO CAS, I don’t know my financial aid status yet but im REALLY HOPING I GET ENOUGH TO ATTEND, for those who got accepted, can u please let me know ur financial aid status and how much ur getting.

Also, if anyone have questions about my stats, extracurriculars, or anything just @ me and I’ll be sure to respond!!!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE

@KojouAndYukina Congrats! Did you get two paragraphs before you got the decision?

@KojouAndYukina congrats I was rooting for you

Congrats!
hey, if you don’t mind saying, when’d you get your result and when did your portal go “two paragraphs?” Mine just went 2 paragraphs today and I was hoping to find out the same day too

@Suzzyy thanks!!! and yes I did get 2 paragraphs

@Coopy1 THANK YOU!!! I still can’t believe it, like I WAS SO SURPRISED

@nyctransfer123 thank you!!! I think you should find out within the next day, truth be told I actually dont know the exact time it went to 2 paragraphs, that being cause I was checking the portal every day for over a week or 2 and felt like it was giving me anxiety cause I was so nervous everytime and it was just at 3 paragraphs, I had a hw assignment due at 12:00am (2 hours ago) and I’ve just been working on that the last 1-2 days so I gave myself that as an excuse to not check the portal, while working on my hw at the library with some friends, I was like I WANNA CHECK, so I just went on and SURPRISINGLY it was 2 paragraphs and my decision was under another tab, I was nonetheless shook, but yea, sorry if that wasnt too helpful, but I can say for sure I still had the 3 paragraphs on Wednesday, so u should get ur decision very soon. GOOD LUCK!

@KojouAndYukina if you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats?

@KojouAndYukina thank you so much for the info! it really helps a lot. you think you’re going to commit? and one last q: did they send you an email beforehand?

@snickerdoodle123 I’m currently a freshmen at UB, only have 1 semester worth of grades. 4.0 GPA, HS weighted average was about a 93.5%(not sure what that is in terms of /4 scale), for extracurriculars in college I’m involved with a faculty run club that promotes CS and entrepreneurship, I was in the beginning stages of trying to update a website for the town of Amherst, and I mentioned a project I was working on to create some sort of product that can help people with vision problems find items in their house and make sure they don’t hit anything when walking, I asked the professor for he club I was in along with one of the projects to help me write my rec

SAT was 1390, I didn’t send in my scores cause they didn’t require but I mentioned it on common app

@nyctransfer123 I think I will commit if I can afford it after the financial aid, unless something changes my mind in the next month or so. Also, I did not receive an email beforehand, I think ur better off just checking the portal instead of relying on email cause I still haven’t received an email yet

If u guys want to know anything else, lmk, wish you guys best of luck cus I know u must be really anxious!!
