Does anyone know if you can challenge a financial aid offer? My parents are contributing nothing to my tuition costs, but make enough that BU offered me no financial aid. I don’t feel this is fair, and I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced the same thing?
U can appeal and explain. They will definitely consider ur individual circumstances
Emailed admissions today, their reply was :
Thank you for contacting Boston University Undergraduate Admissions.
The Board of Admissions is still releasing transfer admissions decisions at this time. You will receive an email once your specific decision has been posted to your MyBU portal.

Im in a similar situation. I havent heard back from BU yet but have had an issue with other schools. my parents are only willing to contribute x amount but they make enough that we dont qualify for financial aid : ( its not anywhere near the 60k + a year these schools are asking for

I can’t tell if there’s still a good chance of getting in at this point. Like they’ve taken so long to accept us but at the same time, they don’t want to reject us yet?
I think if they don’t release decisions today, there is no chance for me to be admitted

Writing this in the hopes it reduces your guys anxiety. I got accepted last yr as a Transfer.
HS Stats:
3.5 GPA, Sat Score: 975, Act Score:20
College Stats
3.5( when I got accepted), 3.6 currently.
I declined last years acceptance because I was not going to pay in person tuition to take online classes. In my opinion it was not worth it. So I took summer classes and improved my GPA from a 3.5 to a 3.6. I also improved my BU essay. Basing it off from last years acceptance, I believe I have a good chance of being accepted again. Would do you guys think? Moreover, they are taking a longer time because last I got my acceptance on April 15
