Boston University Fall 2021 Transfer

Also rejected at 9:30, just saw the email now. COM for advertising. 4.0 GPA with a good resume and portfolio and experience in the field too. Honestly idk what they’re looking for now.

True but by this point I think 99% of them are tho :frowning: Still Good luck to the rest that are still waiting!

Got rejected as well. Published two medical papers, got a 3.9 GPA and earned 36 credits in college, had my mayor write me a letter of recommendation, majoring in biomedical engineering, and 3.99 GPA in high school (took 12 AP classes). Essays were peer reviewed by ten different people…

yeah a lot

That’s probably why they denied you. Many schools are need aware for transfers. I hope you have some other good choices!

I don’t understand why they denied me, again…

rejected, my stats made BU a target school for me but I guess they didn’t want me lol. EFC is 0 so that could play a factor. feeling very lost and confused but there’s nothing I can do. thank you to everyone in this forum, I did not expect the transfer community online to be so kind and helpful but you all have been so great, good luck at wherever you are! and if you’re in the boston area, let’s be friends

That’s an impressive resume! I’d guess they either think you’re doing just fine where you are going to school now or that you’re overqualified and wouldn’t attend if accepted or you needed too much FA.

I think it may have come down to FA and EFC for me too. There’s always the opportunity to reapply I guess.

True true… super sad :frowning:

Honestly with your stats have you considered applying to Columbia?

I have not actually. I applied to Georgetown, Boston, and Harvard. I got waitlisted at Georgetown… which is strange

Rejected…

Columbia would be better from an aid perspective so you might look into it if you’re interested in trying to transfer for next year :blush:or maybe Cornell because I think they have spring admits too.

I will! Thank youuuuu

Honestly… BU was a “safety” for me–I was rejected today, but I had already committed to Cornell, so I don’t care at all, but I am disappointed and sort of angered on how they dealt with this cycle of transfer students! If you got rejected, its their loss not yours. Best of luck to everyone!

I got rejected

damn everyone here has such impressive merits and still got rejected. i have a 3.64 (3.5 when i submitted) and like 2 clubs and a part time job needing basically a full ride so i’m losing so much hope. i wish they’d just rejected earlier so i could move on with my life haha.

Agree. I don’t believe the next wave will be acceptances based on what I saw in BU 2020 transfer thread. But I’m confused why they rejected more students this year.

Way more applicants this year! And they may be space constrained because juniors aren’t going abroad?
