Hi! I was recently accepted to BU class of 2024 ED. I’m obviously excited, but after getting in I ran across all these articles discussing grade deflation at BU and how terrible it is(especially in STEM) I am considering doing pre-med so I wanted to know if anyone could provide some insight on if grade deflation is real and what the usual averages are for these pre-med classes. I know there are already forums about this on here, but a lot of them are pretty old.
Grade deflation is a real thing and Daddy Brown makes sure of it. As a current pre-med student the classes are challenging, many people drop because of the four semesters of chemistry (which is the goal of many professors.) However, if you work hard you’ll do just fine. Best of luck!
