I have a friend who goes to BU and helps with admissions who told me they finished reviewing all applications and that results are coming out on March 22. Apparently acceptance is down to 29% this year

I wonder how those stats break down by school / major

I applied and am a National Hispanic Scholar and BU is guaranteeing me 20K per year in scholarship for that so does that mean I am a sure fire acceptance?

@agaglio - acceptance being down to 29% is simply the math of BU (and other schools) marketing to get more applicants–including those that properly never stood a chance of getting in.

D applied RD
Pre-Law
ACT 30
GPA 3.88
Varsity Sports (captain)
APs/Honors
Private Preparatory School
Comm. Serv.
Yearbook
This is her first choice school… The waiting is killing us lol
School does not rank
Or provide weighted GPAs
FL

My D applied RD. This is a reach school for her and the expectation is on the low side for acceptance.
She applied SOE, deaf studies major.
Even if by some odd chance she gets in, I doubt they will offer her enough aid to make it work.
Her stats are probably considered on the lower side, at least with her SAT scores.
She got a rejection for EA application in December that hit her hard.
Also has two additional schools to hear from. The waiting is getting tiring for all of us

Applied ED to CAS (Biology) - Deferred
Composite SAT 1850, GPA 3.96 W
