Boston University RD 2023

@mingmong0 i don t have the scholarship decision thing. did you send that bank statement in which you demonstrated 72k? my portal says that i still didn’t meet the requirements for financial assitance… and idk if that s the reason i didn’tget word on scholarships/ fin aid

I don’t have it either. I thought they would’ve at least mentioned that I didn’t get the Trustee scholarship. Is there a way to re appeal the decision?

@chicagomom2022 Congrats to your daughter for being accepted to NW and WashU. My son was accepted to BU and BC but was also waitlisted from NE and rejected from Washu.

On my financial aid letter, they said it was a “TENTATIVE” FA award…does anyone know what this means?

@yoyo77777777 BU does not give need based aid to internationals, only merit aid.

“What financial aid opportunities are available to international students?
Unfortunately, need-based financial aid is not available to international students, as consideration is limited to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens. Limited opportunities for credit-based educational loans are available for certain international students. On the basis of merit, international students are considered for the Trustee Scholarship and Presidential Scholarship. Learn more.”

@yoyo77777777 what TomSrOfBoston is saying is right. The scholarship that I got is the merit scholarship.

@yoyo77777777 I did and I still don’t have any info. I’m going to email them soon.

@mingmong0 i know it is. but i was asking if you sent in that bank statement, my portal mentions i haven t provided proper financial documentation. my question was if it had something to do with bot getting word on scholarships

@yoyo77777777 Yes I uploaded back statement via Common App at the time of applying

@mingmong0 where is the merit scholarship info located?

@“C.L.” under the scholarship decision at MyBU Portal

@mingmong0 : there is no “ my scholarship “ section

What does it mean to be accepted with a January start date instead of fall? Is it a housing issue? And followed with a 6 week summer session in London?

@immomtoone You have been accepted to CGS, the College of General Studies. It is not a housing issue. It cannot be changed.
