Summer Activities: Work, volunteering, chilling at the beach, nothing too special here

Counselor Rec (rating 1-10, details): Hard to tell but I would judge it around a 7-8

Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I was hoping for an acceptance but definitely NOT expecting what I got! I think I was able to convey my passion for learning and who I am through my essays and possibly through the rec letters that were submitted!
Where else you are applying or have already applied: Barnard (Waitlisted), Boston College (Accepted), Columbia (RD), Emerson (Accepted), Fordham University (Accepted), NYU (RD), Northeastern (Deferred EA, Waitlisted RD), Providence College (Accepted), Simmons University (Accepted), UPenn (RD)
General Comments/Advice/Hindsight: Please do not stress over college! You will get in where you get in and I believe in everyone reading this! I spent most of last night being so upset over Barnard’s decision and then was met with BU’s decision and amazing offer this morning. I am so excited to attend the open house and possibly consider myself a Terrier! I am in complete shock at this and am feeling so incredibly grateful this morning

@TomSrOfBoston thx I was just curious about how they determine admission to that program as my friends child didn’t apply directly to it. Thx!

Accepted CGS Boston-London… 4.3 weighted 31 ACT.

My Daughter was accepted and also applied for the trustee scholarship (or so we thought). But there is no mention either way of acceptance or rejection of the Trustee Scholarship. We went back on the common application to our submitted app to make sure we included it and there is no section of the trustee scholarship or question if applying to it. We are worried she did not submit it and worked so hard on it. Does anyone know if it disappears on common app after applying?

Accepted! but I applied to Kilachand and didn’t get in so I’m a little salty about that (still a lot to be grateful for tho)

I received 54K in grants-- which is miraculous. I applied to the presidential scholarship and didn’t get it, but I got the Cohen Scholarship (which is a need-based scholarship). I’m just happy either way that I got money and can afford it if I choose to go.

does anyone know if we have a groupme or a facebook group or something along those lines? i’d love to connect with some other students who are considering BU!

For people accepted into CGS, is that the only school at BU mentioned on your portal? Can you see tuition info for regular attendance at BU?

For people accepted into other programs/schools at BU, can you see CGS tuition info on your portal? If so, is CGS mentioned anywhere else in your portal?
