D accepted. Still hoping for some merit aid – anyone know if they award any beyond Presidential and Trustee, which she did not receive? Know we won’t get any financial aid.

Grants are generally awarded from the college ITSELF; it’s essentially “financial aid” directly from the college, not merit-based scholarship money. Nice that it does not have to be paid back. It’s often given when the college does not think you’ll get much regular financial aid from the government/taxpayers, so it gives it to you directly from college funds.
Accepted to the College of Communication!

Accepted to college of arts & sciences!! So excited! Does anyone know if there’s a Facebook group for prospective class of 2020?
Hey guys, current BU student here, just popping in to say that there’s more to Tufts Syndrome than just the college assuming you’re likely to get accepted by a more prestigious university. That’s definitely true, but if you don’t show much interest in BU in the first place–which they can and do recognize–then they probably don’t have the incentive to admit you when they’re likely just a safety school for you or just one of the twelve different schools that you applied to. They have more of an incentive to accept a student with lower stats, or stats within the range, who shows a genuine interest in BU over a student with stats that exceed the range but with little to no interest in BU. Just a heads up.
That being said, to those of you who were rejected, don’t sweat it, you’re probably an amazing student regardless and you’ll discover where you need to be. To those of you who were accepted, congratulations, BU is a great school (I’m biased, obviously, but still), if you PM me I’m happy to answer any questions about what it’s like to go here and I’ll be completely honest about everything.
Same here, can’t figure out about honors, which is probably a deal-breaker. They say it is announced at same time, so is No News Bad News??
Anyone accepted to the Boston-London program on here?
@erd2020 yes there is!
so this is how she learned she was accepted to the Honors College? Awesome! It looks amazing. No link on our daughters email acceptance, so I guess that’s not good news…
