*boston university rd class of 2020 thread*

@laurrodes

@amandasiegel1998 the program is apart of the College of General Studies at BU. Basically in CGS you take all of your GEN ED classes in your first two years of college and there is a set schedule as to when you take each. Every semester, you take humanities, rhetoric, and social science as well as an elective of your choice. After 2 years of that, you will be able to transfer into any school within BU and continue on to get your degree from there. It is only a 2 year program. A degree from BU is a degree from BU whether you are in CGS or not, it is impressive either way. I have found my CGS classes to be very writing/reading based so if you plan on going into engineering or pre med or anything that does not utilize those skills, it might not be right for you. but if you are going into COM or most CAS majors or even business, CGS is a great foundation for that

Does anyone know how easy it is to transfer within BU? Like I kinda wish I applied to Sargent College. Is there anyway to transfer before I even get to BU?

@lolog123 once you’re into BU you are pretty much guaranteed to be able to transfer inbetwren any of the colleges! I’ve heard it’s very easy

I’ve heard similar - it’s very easy.

I got accepted to the program as well. Do you start in January for your first semester at Boston U?

Hey guys, what was you guys’ stats? I got accepted with super low stats (not proud), but Boston University said this year was their most competitive year… I am super confused that I got in, and I don’t understand why

@classof2020a don’t stress about it or feel inadequate, there’s no exact formula for acceptance and they obviously saw something in your application they liked!

@Hopefull16 Right here! interesting that you don’t actually start classes until January 2017

Does anyone know if there is a separate Kilichand invitation? I can’t seem to find if I was accepted or rejected

.

So… No financial aid available for international students whatsoever?! Does anyone know about financial aid for international students? Also, is anyone thinking about attending BU by paying the full price? I’m seriously considering attending BU by just paying $65000 a year… but that is a huge decision. Any suggestions?
