does BU allow decision appeals?
Accepted with a $25,000 scholarship
Accepted with a university scholarship. They gave me full tuition and more financial aid so it turns out cheaper than a SUNY which is hilarious to me. Also, I got into CAS but they did not list a specific major? Also, when does kilachand decisions come out?
Yeah I was wondering about honors too
does BU accept LOCI
I was under the impression that BU meets 100% of need, but they definitely have not in my case 🥲
My daughter was accepted with $25000 presidential scholarship (engineering).
My daughter is a senior at Cornell. She was waitlisted from schools with 30% acceptance rate, and got into some with 8% rate. Always focus on their yield from the year before- it tells you how they make their decisions. Sometimes they cut the top kids out to see if they really want to go there or if they are being used as a second choice- it does not determine what’s going to happen on Ivy day.
My son;
REJECTED W/ TRANSFER OPTION
GPA: 4.0UW/5.550W
ACT/SAT: 1480
Class Rank: 1
11 AP classes
7 college courses
Marching Band, Varsity Quiz, HS swim team, peer tutor
Mechanical Engineering w/ Aerospace Emphasis
This pretty much closes out Boston for him, bummer he loved Boston.
accepted to college of Arts and Science
awww thank you soo much!! You’re so sweet
You’re gonna do great things I know it!
And I’m gonna pray for you too!
Love to hear girls killing it in engineering and being rewarded, congrats!
D21 was accepted to the Questrom School of Business with SAT: 1550 and GPA: 3.9 UW / 4.7 W.
No scholarship and no financial aid.
So, I contacted the admissions office and said the honors college acceptance letter would have had appeared on your portal if you got into it. Also, she said I did get into my biology major even though it did not show up on the letter, (Just CAS did)
Okay exact same boat then
My son was just accepted and they didn’t even meet what FAFSA said we could get lol. He got a grant, which is nice but at 80k tuition …
Congratulations! Our daughters applied to similar schools. Mine got into BU Honors College with intended major in Int’l Relations.
honestly same and I hate how schools like BU claim to meet 100% of demonstrated needs and then tells the student to take out loans
EXACTLY, the scholarships is great and all but my family really can’t afford BU without 100% need met
It is the need that they determine, not what you feel you need. BU is a CSS school. Family assets are considered.
