Boston University Regular Decision 2025: Discussion & Decisions

Me too, my essay for there was really specific. But idk if I have good enough extra curriculars. I’m captain of a varsity sport but I sent that in as an update.

In terms of acceptance rates, is northeastern and bu around the same?

Yes. both are around 20%.

I was waitlisted from NU so I have hope for BU. I demonstrated a lot more interest for BU. I applied early decision in the fall but was deferred and I have been communicating a lot with my admissions counselor so I am excited to hear next week. Good luck everyone and don’t be bummed abt NU they literally had a 4% acceptance rate this year according to the numbers they gave

I didn’t even get a waitlist. I’m so worried. I think it may have been my extracurriculars- my activity section was not descriptive at all so most of my information was on my resume and I also sent in an update but I don’t think it helped at all. Ugh

Does anyone know when the trustee scholarship decisions are released?

When normal decisions are released, if I remember correctly there was someone who got it in December during ED notification day

I got into NU which I’m very happy about, but I applied ED2 for BU and got deferred. I have no idea how it’s going to go on the 27th, but I’m hoping for the best!

Are the decisions usually released in the morning???

Same here

Congratulations on your acceptance to NU. It is an awesome school! My daughter applied to BU ED1 and was deferred too. Good luck to you and where ever you end up it will all work out.

Same, ed2 and deferred

@foodlovr437 --If you have been accepted in NU, that means you applied ED and you are binding with NU.
