It was based on the application. My son did not get any survey
@extraneous101 yeah, there wasn’t any survey. They assigned it because I said I was interested in medicine I believe.

Son applied early and I think it took 4 weeks

Hey guys! @itsmyusername I applied for neuroscience. In my essay, I wrote about myself and how my activities and motivation is linked to what I’m interested in. I included information about the subject matter, but I really made it an essay about why I wanted to pursue research at BU and why I thought it would be a terrific experience for me.
They said they’re reviewing my application, but I still haven’t heard anything as to whether I’m rejected or not…
Yeah, it took around 5 weeks for me. I think they’re a little overwhelmed with apps right now. Plus it’s based on professor availability, so just hang in tight if you haven’t heard back yet!

Today is the deadline to accept a spot at another summer camp I got into but I don’t know if I should wait for RISE or not…this kind of sucks lmao

To sloppychair, I know that other summer programs commonly create facebook groups, so BU RISE probably makes one as well.
Did anyone else get a email recently saying that they were in the process of looking for a lab/mentor for you?
@Kazero Yeah, I did. I don’t know if that means we are not going to be accepted. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

So if I didn’t get that email does it mean I’m likely rejected? 
I got an email about BU’s other programs and a webinar to learn about them, so I guess it’s bad news for me…
I wouldn’t say that for sure, they might just have wanted to give an update to the people they’ve looked over and accepted already. Even if you don’t get in, at least you were accepted to your other summer program
