I didn't get a chance to visit the school, so I was wondering if anyone know how the school vibe and culture of BU are like. I tried researching online but couldn't come up with anything. Thanks in advance :)

please guys
i really wish to know this
thanks

You couldn’t find anything at the well know college review sites including CC - [Boston University - Videos, Photos, and Visit Reports](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/vibe/boston-university) ?
Hard to imagine! Well, it is a big school so I think the vibe is whatever you are looking for. It has everything.

Did you know BU has its own forum? -

i guess what i’m trying to say is that no one actually describe how it feels to be in boston
it’s all “it’s a wonderful city and you’ll always have something to do” type of response
i was looking for something more concrete

boston is not a bad place, however it can be cold (weather and people)

Boston is a great city. It is filled with great students and professionals. There are better universities in Boston than BU (Harvard, MIT, BC, Northeastern), but you can’t go wrong with BU if you can afford it. It is pretty expensive to attend (as are the others listed).

The city of Boston is very compact and relatively safe (compared to many other large cities). BU’s location is superb…it’s on both sides of Commonwealth Avenue for a mile or so. It’s walking distance to many of the historical and cultural attractions, and the trolley/subway which runs right through BU can cheaply get you to just about anywhere you’d want to go (Cambridge, the North End, etc.) in a few minutes. Fenway Park is a short walk from the eastern end of BU. It’s hard to imagine anyone at any of the colleges in and around Boston getting bored, especially the BU students because their campus is about the closest to the action.

As far as the vibe and culture go, BU seems to attract people who really like urban life…as opposed to those whose idea of perfection is a quiet stroll through the countryside, or a day at a beach. A lot of the students are from the Northeast, especially the New York City/Northern New Jersey area. Politically, the students and faculty tend to be pretty liberal. BU sports don’t generate much passion, except for men’s ice hockey, which has won several national championships.

Oh, you want to know about the location…
