Hi everyone. I decided that I am probably going to attend BU next year. My one concern though is the social life and meeting new people. How active is the social life and parties? Is it easy to meet people or does the lack of a “true” campus restrict this? thanks

Current BU student here. The social life definitely exists if you choose to seek it out. MIT frat parties to the east are big and not that hard to get into even if you are a freshman and have mostly guys. To the west you have allston house parties which are usually a little sketchier.
I also wanted a traditional campus but you eventually see BU as a campus because 95 percent of the people you run into between west and east are BU students or employees. Hope this helps. Also if you want to party life in West you have the CGS kids and athletes so… yeah :P.

Agree with Vlklngboy11.

Just like high school, your social life is what you make it. Once you attend, you’ll understand that the BU campus has a well-defined communal feel and campus that makes your social life whatever you make it.
