Boston University: status of applicant link changed? / Chance me?

I've applied as a transfer to BU to the college of fine arts, and it said originally that my application was complete. A month or so later, it said that my application had been reviewed. It's now changed back after being at "review is complete" for a month or so to "application is complete." What does this mean? Is this bad?

Also, if possible, would any of you be able to chance me? I haven't found anyone who could give me the right input because I'm an art major. I got mono last semester and it impacted my GPA horribly, and I have only a 3.0, but divided between only three three-credit art classes. My high school GPA was 3.35 unweighted and 3.6 weighted, and I won various awards for my art and my TV production. My SAT was 1920. I've also been actively pursuing jobs and internships within my expected career as a graphic designer.

I included this letter
<a href="http://prettyfierce.net/uploader/files/BUletter.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://prettyfierce.net/uploader/files/BUletter.pdf</a></p>

as well as my resume
<a href="http://erikadecker.net/resume.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://erikadecker.net/resume.pdf</a></p>

and I had a portfolio review, and my art is at erikadecker.net. I also applied to Tufts, but that was a reach -- I didn't even show them my portfolio.

I'm ridiculously nervous because I don't feel my current university challenges me enough (re: I'm looking for a more rigorous courseload and competitive environment), and I stated that in my essay among other things, and I really don't want to come back here in September. I'd greatly appreciate any input! Thanks!

hey there, I do wish you the best of luck, but...

Not to come off like a jerk, but how are you going to say your university isn't challenging you enough when you have a 3.0?? I understand illness was a factor, but I am not sure if that's going to look all that great on your application...

I missed about a month of classes, but I still ended up finishing the courses. The professors who filled out my recommendations also noted that I managed to get honors-level grades despite my illness and very large amount of time missed.

Also, art is graded differently from academic courses, and that is another reason I'm worried. I don't know if it'll matter at all to them.

Edit: To put it in perspective, I missed about 24 three-hour studio classes in total, and in-class studio work is extremely important; generally, if you miss five, you automatically fail. My illness, though, allowed me to pass.

Does anyone know about even the first part?

did anyone else get emails from bu i havent gotten anything

honestly... you don't even have enough credits...

what are u talking abt

I applied to BU as well...no changes on my application link. The only e-mail I got was about setting up my online account, so don't worry too much.

i didnt even get an email to setup an online acct should i call them?

just so you know, i think your letter is very well written. I think you have a very decent shot, although i dont know much about BU for transfers. I had mono and am an art major, and totally understand how hard it must have been. art is one of those subjects which is very hard to make up if you miss, and the grades you got were impressive in my opinion when looking at your situation. i wish you the best of luck. and feel better!

Thanks milkdud, and I'm really glad at least someone understands, even if that's because you had to go through it as well! And, m.kenien, if you read my letter you would see that I spoke with the woman in charge of CFA admissions -- she's the one who assured me that I was right in applying as a transfer, enough credits or not.

Also, sleazybum09, the only e-mail I've received was to set up my web account, so maybe you should call; the change in status is what had me worried.
