So only acceptances today?

Accepted into CAS! Neuroscience major
GPA: 3.9 in HS, 3.7 in college
SAT: 1390

Are decisions still coming out? or did they all update at 2pm?

good luck to the rest of y’all!! fingers crossed

Is the second wave normally a week after the first wave or is the wait normally weeks

Accepted to Questrom. 4.0 GPA from a Community College. very involved. No aid visible.

@Jtfallon13 for real. my anxiety is making me physically unwell

Accepted into CAS. 3.62 GPA in college, 1.8 GPA in high school (yes it was actually that). Good recommendations, did not send in SAT, didn’t send in mid-term report. Good luck to everyone!

for financial aid, the amount we’re contributing out of our own pockets is tuition - the tentative financial aid, right? please feel free to correct me if I’m mistaken!

Forgot to put my stats lol. Accepted as an English Major in CAS, transferring in my junior year from a California community college with a 3.3 GPA.

Had 3 letters of rec, one from a High Ranking official at my school who went to BU

I was President of the Feminist Club, had a two-year internship beginning my Senior year of high school, was an English tutor for the school, and was News Editor on my school’s paper for a semester.

I would give my Essays a strong 10/10 because I had worked on them for months and I submitted the app on February 3rd

Goes to show that GPA doesn’t mean as much as pure grit and determination.

Good Luck to all of you!!

Can someone tell me where I can find my financial aid decision?

He got accepted with an amazing scholarship!!!

There’s a tab that says Financial Aid to the right of your letter. It’s also in the top left of your portal.

For financial aid, I also have an EFC of 0. I got $61K in grants, $8K in loans/work study, and then I have to pay $5k out of pocket. I think this is the best BU is going to do.

did anyone receive any academic scholarships or do those get awarded later?

@mill213 I believe it was need-based. My dad is an alumni and they have a need-based scholarships for children of alumni so that might be it

I JUST GOT IN FOR THE COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES (CHEMISTRY MAJOR)

Does anyone know about trying to get more $ from them? I’d have to pay $10k more than I already pay which would be difficult since I live with a single mom.

@falltransfer2020 ohh okay. but if it is need based then its based off of your financial aid right? so then it would be a grant…or is it based on your academics? sorry if this is repetitive im just trying to figure out if they sent out academic scholarships already or if its just grants right now, because i only received grants for financial aid.

I don’t see any scholarships on my portal. It just says grants

@cmarie444 hey! i also got accepted as a chem major, congrats!! what you can do is appeal, which is essentially asking them for more financial aid. just send them an email explaining your current financial aid situation and why your current package is too expensive

Did anyone receive a decision after 2pm? Seeing everyone get decisions and still waiting is killing me !
