Boston university transfer fall 2020

If financial aid is need based, how come I only got $30k when my EFC is 0?? I really want to go but I can’t afford it as of now :frowning:

Accepted into CAS for International Affairs!!! Transferring from GWU with a 3.58 GPA. For those who received merit scholarships, where did you find out about them? For those who did not receive merit, are you planning on appealling- is this even a possibility? I would love to go to BU but didn’t qualify for FAFSA and paying full price is unfortunately not an option.

I got into the College of Engineering. 4.0 CC transfer. Got a Boston U grant and a PTK transfer scholarship. Congratulations to all of you!!!

Accepted to Questrom!
3.9 CC Transfer with letters of rec and a few ecs!

Are you all being accepted now or are you just now checking your decision? just wondering if decisions are still coming out or not! @Doviii @peter1223 @angelinasne

Hi guys, I just got my admission decision today!
I had checked the portal yesterday and there were no paragraphs, but I received an email staying that they reached a decision on my application, & when I logged in the confetti automatically popped onto the screen.
I’m a freshman transferring from a small private college. I figured I’d share my stats (because I was NOT AT ALL confident that I would get accepted):
I applied for CAS hoping to major in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
HS GPA (weighted): 95
college GPA: 3.87
SAT: 1230
transferring 60 credits, including 28 earned through dual enrollment
awards/ achievements: participation in a science research conference at a local community college
extracurriculars: Italian American Society, an environmental club, an animal activist group, and Campus Ministry
work: one semester working as a pollster for the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, and currently a tutor at a local high school
recommendations: my HS softball coach/ teacher, my fall freshman seminar professor
Good luck to everyone I hope you all get in!!

Hey, has anyone heard back from CFA today?

Accepted into CAS with 4.0 GPA from UMass Amherst !! my checklist was funky so this is super exciting. good luck everyone!

@corinnaolson I got an email at 1:20 saying that 'Board of Admissions has reached a decision", then I logged into the portal, and there was the Admission Decision Letter. Hopefully, this helps.

Accepted to business college today at 1:21!

I got mine at 2pm but just got around to commenting now, sorry :frowning: @corinnaolson

Hey guys Ive read everything. CONGRATS to all who got in. They still have not received my college transcript, but it should be there by the end of this week. Does anyone know when the next wave would be?

Anyone able to answer my question about aid? I’ve only gotten $30k in aid with an EFC of 0 and a single parent working minimum. I think I might’ve filed something incorrectly. Is the aid need-based?

Congrats to everyone who got in! Has anyone heard from com yet?

Hello everyone, CONGRATS TO EVERYONE who got in!!! To those who are still anxiously waiting like me, I called the admission office and there is no “next wave” it is entirely random. It will be a rolling admission so starting tomorrow it is randomized on their decisions. Also when people post their acceptances and stats it will be helpful to us with the time stamps of when you got an email notifying you of your decision status and when you check your portal. Please and thank you ??! Again, congrats to everyone who heard back today ??

You should contact BU ASAP!

Does that mean that this wave (today) was all acceptances?

are they going to be releasing decisions everyday???
