Based on an online info session, you can change your major after the acceptance. I don’t know if it was all acceptances or not, most people wouldn’t want to post that they got rejected or not either way. They didn’t say every day they were vague with it. Just know it’s random.
for anyone wondering, i heard back from com today! good luck to everyone on their decisions!
What are the chances that they provide a LOT more aid from my appeal? $32k aid as of now. I’m hoping to get a total of ~60k aid. Do you guys think they might’ve mistakenly assigned me this amount? EFC 0.
I was accepted into the CAS today for Political Science! 4.0 GPA from large state school, test optional, lots of extracurriculars and internships in the past.
I wish we knew when to anticipate another round of admissions.
I have a 4.0 from a state school
I am a freshman and I am applying for Biology major.
I am a little bit confused, because I am class of 2023, however under the “next steps” portion of the BU portal, it says “to secure your place in the Class of 2024…”. Does anybody else have this?
@af1113 Theres a first-year student section and transfer student section under the next steps tab, you just have to click over to the transfer student portion
@muse12233 i applied to CFA for Graphic Design and haven’t heard back.
I got $34,200 in grants, and then $25k for the PTK scholarship, which is for students that are transferring from community colleges. The rest was loans, but i plan on appealing this because my 2018 and 2019 incomes were vastly different. I dont think any more awards will be announced at a later date. Hope this helps!
oh I didn’t even see that tab lol, thank you!!
I got into CAS with a 3.5 GPA from a top 15 university (Vanderbilt) not sure if im going yet but definitely seriously considering it!!
@mill213 YAY CONGRATS! Chem majors for the win!
Yeah I’m hoping to appeal because I really want to go.
I got accepted! I sent my application in February 15th. I currently have around a 3.65 GPA, but I applied with a 3.73. Transferring from a MA community college. I got admitted to CAS for Environmental Science, and the only extracurriculars I had this year were my job and volunteering for political campaigns. I didn’t get any scholarships or aid. Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back!
@mill213 yes it’s all need-based, I didn’t receive a merit scholarship. Merit-based scholarships are a lot rarer for transfer students
hmm okay. one of the other colleges I got into offered me an academic scholarship but no grants which I found interesting, so I was hoping BU would provide academic scholarships too on top of grants, even if it’s a small amount. or maybe you have to apply for these types of scholarships with essays and such?
did anyone else that heard back today not receive any aid? like their financial aid materials still only appear in the checklist?
I was accepted to CAS for CS today I got an e-mail around 11 am Pacific time. Good luck everyone!!
Has anybody has updated later than 2pm east coast and 11am west coast time?
does anyone know about transferring of credits? I see only some I submitted while others have disappeared
CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED! i haven’t received my decision yet but that’s okay! do you know when the next wave is? or is it completely random? So can we expect decision tomorrow?
