Boston University Transfer Fall 2022

Me too. But wouldn’t it make more sense for BU to ask everyone who applied for financial aid for that income form? There’s basically a month-long ongoing waitlist after the main decisions are released, so wouldn’t it make more sense for BU to ask every person who needs to fill out the form? Like, anyone on the ‘waitlist’ – or whatever you want to call it – could still be accepted and need to eventually turn the form in, if it was actually required for everyone. I kind of feel like it must not mean anything if so many of us have no idea what form they’re talking about (no offense to the people that got the message on their portal)

where did u read this?

same! i’ve been waiting for my college transcipt to be approved for weeks now…

same!! i called and they just told me to keep waiting for a few more weeks

The forms are just parent tax returns and W-2s. People who don’t have it on their portal might have just already sent them in. I thought they’d take it from IDOC so I didn’t directly send it until they requested it a couple of days ago.

Ok thanks. I turned mine in two days ago. Is it possible for them to send decisions without financial aid?

I think so! The financial aid offer might just be sent out a little bit after the admission decision. That’s how it’s been for my other schools.

Thanks

Yes, it is. I called with this exact question and admissions told me financial aid and the application itself are totally separate. If you are missing materials within the financial aid category, it will not affect their ability to consider your app.

I really appreciate the aspect of camaraderie in this group on this college confidential page specifically. Some other pages that I’ve been in have had people who were not kind to others

I agree I’ve had a great experience with the transfer CC threads! I love how supportive everyone is as transferring is not an easy or fun process

I sent the Transfer College Report with my Coalition app and it’s missing and they don’t know where it is. It took multiple calls and emails for my college transcripts to be approved. Still waiting on my high school transcript to be approved as well but I sent it on Monday so it makes sense lol

I hope it all works out for you, good luck!!

I sent my english test score more than one month ago and they lost them despite i sent them proof that they were sent. I hope they still can make a decision

In my application it doesn’t ask for any other documents, I should be okay then, right? because they didn’t ask for my parent’s income form.

No worries. Seems like it’s different for everyone

What the heck… that shouldn’t effect anything. sounds like it was their fault that it was lost.

absolutely ridiculous

yeah, their only solution was “send them again”, and i talked with someone at Duolingo (the english exam i took) and they confirmed that they have record that BU should have the results.
