i just called, and they let me put my name on a list to expedite my decision- i was still told that i would be hearing back by next week at the latest, but it’s nice to know that it could be bumped up a little bit

I WAS JUST TYPING THIS!!! The same exact thing just happened to me. Not sure how reliable it is. My lady said the same thing but did not say anything about next week. She said “you’ll hear back sooner than you were going to, but I can’t tell you when.” Idk if she even knows if there is a decision or if I’m still being reviewed? Also, what the heck is she even talking about? In what world can she check a box and “expedite” the decision? I don’t get what she means.

what did you say when you called?
i started by saying that i was wondering when i would get a decision because i know that the deadline to put down the deposit is june 1st, and i was concerned that i would have barely any time to decide if i get in. she said decisions are rolling until june, but then she looked up my ID. because i called last friday and got a different answer, it said in the notes that i should know by next week, so she said that she can put my name on a forum for expediting my decision if i wanted to, but reiterated that i should know by the end of april (next week). i hope this helps!

we probably had the same lady. i didn’t get an answer that cryptic, but she said that my application is still being reviewed but because i’ve had everything in for a while i should hear back by next week. and i don’t know what she’s talking about either, it’s really strange that there’s a “list” to put your name on for that? but if it helps me get answers sooner then ill try my luck with that list i guess

I want to put my name on the expedited list thing (because I’m international and applying for a visa takes a long time) but I’m scared that that might come off the wrong way, and make them think I’m already expecting to get in. Will that make me look cocky or something?
this was a tough issue tbh, granted my major is new so that added another layer of difficulty.
in short, credit transfer can eliminate major requirements or introductory courses to higher-level ones. they do not transfer for the BU HUB (the gen-ed program) however, transfers do an abridged version of the HUB
a good chunk of my course at my previous university would only count as Extra courses as the course they would satisfy at BU do not apply to what I study

Just remembered that National College Decision Day is May 1st for traditional incoming freshman. Maybe there will be more release waves closer to and shortly after that date…
