Alright so I applied to BU and also applied for the Trustee Scholarship... so now I just want to know if I have a chance of actually getting this thing.

Credentials are:
GPA (weighted): 3.88
GPA (unweighted): 3.6-ish?
Class Rank: unranked; estimated top 10%
SAT: 730 math, 690 verbal, 680 writing
SAT II: 750 U.S. history, 650 math II
AP scores: AP Euro (sophomore year): 5; Calc AB (junior year): 5; English Language (junior): 4; U.S. History (junior): 4
Taking AP Calc BC, AP Lit, and AP Biology this year... if not for scheduling conflicts, I would be taking AP Gov/Pol and a fourth year language, but it didn't work out for me

Extra-Curriculars
Music department at my school (our competition jazz band won the University of the Arts competition last year, which I'm pretty sure is a big deal)
Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper
Not much service, but I have done some service for the mentally retarded
I hold a steady one-night-a-week job

I think the essay I wrote was middle of the road... for those familiar with the scholarship, I wrote on the increased usage of nuclear power in the United States...

For my GPA, it has gone up as I have progressed through high school... 3.63 freshman year (one honors class), 3.64 sophomore year (three honors classes and one AP class), 4.06 junior year (two honors classes and three AP classes), and 4.23 first semester of senior year (one honors class and three AP classes), so I think that's a plus...

Also, I missed the deadline for submission of my essay for the scholarship (December 1), but in January, I got an email from BU, saying that all my application materials were not in... I called up and they mentioned that my essay wasn't in yet, and they subsequently said I could just email it over. Does this mean that they are looking at me more seriously, or was it just BU being courteous toward me?

I'd be quite excited if I got this scholarship, haha
