I don’t really know where to post this so I’m just putting it here.
The Boston U Trustee Scholarship says the following (on one of the brochures I received):
1529 on SAT CR/M and a 760 on SAT W
35 on ACT

Does that mean both or only one of the above?
Thanks!!

Haha, I only have the SAT requirements and I really really don't want to reatke my ACT. That's why I'm wondering.
Thanks for the suggestion Ealgian.

Those aren't requirements. They are just the averages for the students receiving the Trustee scholarship. I don't know the requirements with the ACT, but for SAT, you have to take the SAT I and 2 SAT II Exams. There is no minimum score required to get the scholarship, but obviously, the higher the score the better.

johnstoops, im an international applyin to BU trustee, and was wondering if you could post your stats since ure a successful BU trustee now. Also do you think you got in becoz of ure app essays, trustee essay, ECs etc.? I mean did you feel you were particularly strong in any of those areas?

3.95 UW GPA
Rigorous course load, with lots of Honors and AP classes.
SAT- 2340
SAT 2- One 800, Two 790s, and a few more in the 700s.
Founder of a club at my school, leadership position in another.
2nd Degree Black Belt
Lots of Hospital Volunteer hours, volunteered as a tutor, shadowed some doctors, some minimal medical research experience.

I think that would be the main stuff. I think my ECs and my academic credentials are probably the main reason I got the scholarship. I felt my app essay was strong but I didn't think my trustee essay was particularly great.

You can PM me too if you have any other particular questions or want some advice regarding your chances.

How many people usually apply to the Boston University Trustee Scholarship? And how about the Martin Luther King Scholarship? I just want to know what my chances are of getting it.

Boston University will welcome approximately 30 outstanding students to the Trustee Scholars program this fall. By any measure, Trustee Scholars are an academically gifted group of students. They typically rank at the top of their high school classes. Their average score on the SAT is 2289, while the average ACT score is 35. On average, this year's Trustee Scholars had a high school GPA of 3.96. (This profile does not constitute a statement of eligibility criteria.)
