Hi guys, I'm currently a hs senior in CA and next year I'm doing Communications at either BU or Chapman. BU has its own Comm school, but Chapman only has the major. I got scholarships from Chapman, so I'd pay $45,000/year as opposed to BU, which is $65,000/year (including airfare).

For the cost, is it worth it to go to BU? Or should I just go to Chapman?

If costs were the same, it would be really fun for a CA kid to go to school in Boston. But that’s a significant difference I wouldn’t do unless 20 a year is not meaningful to my parents and/or they already put that away in a college fund for me.

Well, I dont know anything about chapman at all so I cant speak for that, I dont know a lot about the school or communications at BU. But, I LOVE BU, I live in NY so travel cost is pretty minimal for me. I am going for medicine(yay 8 years of pain) but considering BU has a specific school I would go there over a school that doesnt in general. If you want to know anything about BU, please ask.

Thank you both for responding!

Anytime my friend :)

I do know a Chapman grad who had a great PR internship (she got tons of swag) and they placed her into an entry level job at CAA and she is not in a production company after a year or two. And she got a Chapman friend a job and she got a Chapman friend a job.
