Boston University vs Clark University?

Back in the following thread you and I had a very nice rapport.
Now your communication has become rude. I wonder what happened. :-?

I have given what I believe to be accurate information (and is clearly accurate at Bowdoin), based on good evidence, and your response is “you are wrong” (twice) with no courtesy whatsoever. I do not wish to irritate you any further, so will no longer comment here.

I am sure that your daughter will thrive at the school she is enrolling at.

All the best.

@LuxLake All due respect, the vast majority of the top 50 or so colleges still require test scores. Plus, @NROTCgrad is correct; most of the test optional schools will ask for your scores once you enroll and promise to attend. I know from personal experience that when one of my close friends picked Colby and enrolled, they asked for her SATs. Another friend was in the same position with Bowdoin.

Ditto - my younger son was admitted at three test optional schools - Union, Clark, and Bates. No one asked for test scores until he enrolled (Bates).

@LuxLake, if your daughter was accepted at Hampshire, they don’t want test scores at all which is a different situation. My older son attends Hampshire and loves it there.

We loved Hampshire. D also applied and was accepted to Union, Hampshire and Clark. My older son attends Marlboro and loves it there.

Ultimately, the trip to Bates from Ohio was a bit too long for us. It’s several hours east of Marlboro. She is not as edgy as S so she decided against Hampshire and Bennington.

She has chosen Clark and was the recipient of the Traina Scholarship. (merit based) Clark was wildly generous.
We have sent her deposit. There has been no request to send test scores.

My daughter goes to Clark now, and she loves it. She was never asked for her test scores.

I wouldn’t consider Clark and BU in the same class at all, although I do feel BU is overrated.

Someone should close this thread - it’s from last year.

I’m glad it turned up, though. D has been accepted at Clark. We’ve not been able to manage a visit yet, but I appreciate all the positive comments about the quality of the academic experience there in this thread.

It’s an alright school…3.5 stars. Decent academics, but it doesn’t have a “wow” factor at all. It’s a private school in Massachusetts though, so of course it’s going to be praised. No way is it close to BU.
