<p>What are the major differences between these two schools such as each ones strengths and weaknesses?</p>
<p>neu is stronger in engineering and tech while bu is more about arts. bu also lacks any kind of campus.</p>
<p>Yeah a lot of my friends who go to BU complain about having no "campus". Their seven year med program is pretty cool though, if you get in.</p>
<p>Northeastern is also known for their co-op program.</p>
<p>D was absolutely convinced that she wanted to go to BU before visiting. It was the "city campus" in her eyes. Very disappointed when we visited last summer. Went to NEU as part of the Boston swing. Was immediately impressed with the campus--thought this was what she thought BU would be like. Applied to both, accepted EA to NEU and waitlisted at BU. Later admitted to BU and despite some concerns about reputation and name brand of BU, stuck with NEU. A very smart admissions counselor at another school said that she would have a "visceral reaction" to a school--she did and is happy with NEU. It is, in our area, a very "hot" school. Follow your gut!!</p>
