Boston University VS. SUNY Stony Brook

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I have been accepted to both Boston University and SUNY Stony Brook and I am currently in the process of deciding on which one to go to and would like some help. I plan to be a biology major doing pre-med. Here are some things I'm considering.</p>

<p>Academics-</p>

<p>-Stony Brook's strength is their sciences while that is not the case at BU
-Both schools have hospitals nearby and an affiliated medical school
-Easier to maintain high GPA at stony brook = better chances at medical school?
-BU is higher ranked and more prestiges than Stony Brook</p>

<p>Finances-</p>

<p>-I will be paying 55k for BU and 17k for Stony Brook
My parents will be able to pay for BU but its going to be tight</p>

<p>Personal-</p>

<p>-Having grown up in NYC, I would much rather prefer to live in Boston than Long Island
-Heard the social life at Stony Brook is horrible
-Bad food and dorms at stony brook</p>

<p>Any suggestions?</p>
