Has anyone else been notified for interviewing for Boston University's 7-year Accelerated Program?

i applied and i am still waiting for any word

nope...only just got a letter saying the university has my application..anyone know their notification timeline??

I was notified this past Thursday by phone. I'm guessing this upcoming week and last week are the notification periods.

According to the BU website, you're a finalist... and admission decisions are mid-March, early April.
So I apologize if I gave out incorrect information.. Anyone going to an accelerated program could give advice on whether the interview is a huge impact?
Good luck!

yeaa i think the interview has a huge impact b/c everyone that made it that far is put on the same playing field. i think that numbers dont matter anymore at that stage, they want to see who you are, what your goals are, how will you benefit society, how you think and handle stressful situations, etc. etc. this is the time to blow them away with your uniqueness and win that spot!

hey kpphy88 can u list ur stats and can u other people also list ur stats?????????

does anyone know how many students make this phase?

ummm i just checked my Applicant Link Page and it said

" Our records currently indicate that the following credentials are still required to complete your application for admission :

ummmmmmmm UH OH>........ what do i do?? didnt they already send out interview timings already?!?!

yeah i just got their email today asking to do an interview. but i already withdrew my app to BU a few weeks ago, so i don't know what happened?

Finally got through to BU (every time I call, there's a busy signal!).. and the person I talked to said that the accelerated med program phone calling is still on-going from January through February. So there's still hope for those who haven't gotten a call!

thank god! I was getting worried there...

I received the call today. Is everyone really put on the same level going into the interview? Does anyone know how many students were interviewed last year and how many were accepted?

Good luck to everyone!

To maverick2006: Should not make much difference to you. Heard that you are already admitted to Stanford (EA)
Anyway Goodluck. I am sure you will be accepted here too. You will have atough choice to make.

to maverick2006
congrats on stanford acceptance; i also have an ivy league acceptance (yale) EA. Are you really thinking about going to BU BA/MD - is it a 7 yr program? how do you feel about turning down stanford for BU?

I have not made a decision yet. I have not been accepted to the BA/MD program at BU and would be shocked if I am (I am not good at interviews...luckily, Stanford didnt even offer them). I think Stanford is amazing....otherwise I would not have applied EA to it, but my ultimate goal is to become a doctor and the BU program is one of the best combined programs out there. I guess I have to make my decision during April after having visited both schools.

mel5140, did you apply to this program as well? How do you feel about turning yale down...if it comes to it?

Is the boston program interviewing everyone on one day, or splitting up the applicants and scheduling interviews on different days? Damn I still haven't heard anything. Meh.

I just got a phone call today! This is so awesome! I thought the notification period was over but I still have an interview for the 22nd. Don't give up hope!

i got a phone call today too! Wow, I've never been east cost (Except for NYC when I was 4)

...so going to Boston U will be fun

hey what's the # for the BA/MD program to schedule the interview?

is it 617-353-7655 ?
