My CAS interviewer was 10 minutes late because he was teaching a class, and didn't realize I was waiting right outside his office and walked past me. That was odd. He didn't even write anything down. He was definitely like 80 years old so I hope he had good memory or something.

I just came back from my interviews. I thought the way the day was structured was very strange. I did not get a feel for the med school because we didnt have time to tour it, plus the student who took me around also didnt seem very enthusiastic about the program. I dont know, but I'm not sure I got a great impression of the program. Maybe it was just my experience. THe interviews were good though, each of mine were 1 hour+

inthemoney- Yeah, I know what you mean. You had one interview and then you had to kind of hang around and find your way around until your second interview. Luckily I had a friend on BU campus that was free, and took me around. But otherwise, I would have been bored and freezing in the cold while I waited. And wow, your interviews were very long. Maybe it was a day that wasn't as busy with interviews, because after my first interview at 9, at 9:30 a second person was already there. That sucks for me. Anyways, good luck to everybody!

when do we find out whether or not we're accepted?

i wanna know the same thing! ^

I'm guessing end of the month, like most acceptances... =(

Long wait.

Does anyone know how many of the people accepted into the program get merit scholarships usually? Like the University Scholarship and/or Trustee?

To Those Who Got Accepted,

Please share your stats as the followings:
State of residency
SAT1
ACT
SAT2
AP

ECs
List of BA/BS-MD program that you applied
Others .......

Thanks,

Does anyone know when the decisions are supposed to come out??

The rumor is March 30th. But the official word is "by early April"

my interview sucked...doubt i'll get in. Haven't given this program much thought since then =(

hmmm.... this program is hella expensive. i think BU is the 2nd most expensive med school in the country after GWU. oh well, i wouldn't complain if i got in though. :P

I compared the total med school costs for USC Keck vs. BU school of medicine, and they both came out about the same......
I think med school usually is just realllllly expensive.

Well BU is well known for their merit and financial aid that they girve for undergraduate.

And yes, all private med schools are very expensive. They range from about 45k to 65k, depending on the school. And remember, medical school usually does not cover housing in these expensives. If you go to a public med school in your home state, it can be a lot cheaper. The state med school near me is only around 20k.

Decisions are out! I got trustee scholarship AND Accelerated Medical Program!

how did you find out? phone, email, or snail mail? i cant decide whether to wait eagerly by my phone, computer, or mailbox

check the BU admissions website. Click on the applicant link. Login. And hopefully you see Accepted!!!

hey thanks, just checked it and i got in to the program! unfortunately, i didn't get the trustee so i probably will not go..

Same here. Then again, my chances for Trustee's weren't particularly great either.

i got into the program too. I didn't get the trustee scholarship, so i probably won't go either...Congrats johnstoops on the scholarship!
