Boston University

Hello there...I am going to be a senior this year at a High School in New York. I am very interested in persuing an education in the business field therefore I have narrowed down my choices of colleges to Boston University, NYU, Northeastern and Northwestern.

I am planning on doing a Early Decision application to Boston University but do not want to get turned down. This is my situation.

My transcript average is about 89
I got a 1810/2400 on the NEW SAT's
570 on both the writing and critical reading
670 on the math

I am a President of a club and am in many more and have a part time job.

Since the NEW SATs already has the writing section which was previously an SAT2, I'm wondering if I should early decision to BU after taking ONE more SAT2 which would make it a total of TWO sat2's instead of waiting til the regular admissions deadline and taking 2 more sat2's which would make it a grand total of 3 sat2's. What do you think my chances are and what should I do :(

The writing section in the new SAT doesn't count as an SAT II. You'll have to take two SAT II's this fall.

Your SAT score is low. Can you bring it up to a 1900? If you can do that and score 650+ on your SAT II's and apply ED, you'll have a good shot.

I dont have time to take the SAT's again I need to use the remaining test dates to take the sat2's

can't you do SAT in october, SAT II in november (or vice versa)? I think they would still accept scores from november in the ED round, but you should check.

i need to have at least 2 sat2 grades as a minimum for bu. i'm doing ed2 so itll be delayed a while so i can get 2 sat2s in...

you can take ACT with writing and submit in place of SAT II

i havent really prepared for the ACT exam...is it easy?? :-D also... what if i dont score all that great ill just be digging myself into a bigger hole with boston university

You can take up to 3 SAT IIs on one testing date.

You definitely have time. I would take your SAT II's first, then retake the SAT I in November. I am going to do the same.

really?! no way! isnt that like slaughter though? also... which sat2's would you guys recommend for a business major?

Hmm... You should definitely take a math (Level 2 if possible), and a science (bio/chem/physics).

you have no chance
