Boston vs. Northeastern

Boston UNIVERSITY* vs Northeastern

What are the major differences between these two schools such as each ones strengths and weaknesses?

They're both very good schools. Northeastern has an amazing co-op program that allows you to get work experience, BU has slightly stronger academics.

I agree completely. Bu and Northeastern are about the same when it comes to academics. I would pick BU over NE because NE is 5 years instead of 4.

yea...however, i read on NE's website that some of the programs at NE can be taken over 4 or 5 years..either one..........but yea ythat whole 5 year thing isnt going well with me

It really depends...that 5 years gets you a ton of real-world experience and, depending on your program, could get you your Masters degree after that fifth year. Check it out.

Something that wasn't mentioned is that NU has an absolutely gorgeous campus.

And nobody can say anything because I'm going to BU!

Not many kids in the Boston area would pick Northeastern over BU, even with the near constant advertising on the radio by the former. But it's a perfectly good school.

It's funny to hear that campus described as beautiful because it was for decades considered a 1950's eyesore. They have done a very good job of building a campus and, remember, this is one of the very few schools in the US which, like BU, is truly in the heart of a real city. The negative of Northeastern's campus is that much of it is on the sketchier side of the tracks.
