Botany and toxicology

Okay I suppose I should start off saying that I am a 20 y/o who has a little bit of college down but had to stop to avoid incurring debt. I am in love with sciences and have been since I was a child I loved biology in highschool it was just something that made sense so did chem. my problem is I have a dilemma on my hands. I currently am working I dunno 48-55 hours on a given week sometimes less but never under 40. I make a decent living enough to not really need to go to school seeing as most salary out looks are pretty bleak but I hate the work. But learning is what makes me happy and I have a particular love for plant and poisons. So my question is it really worth it to go into these degrees or should I go with something like engineering or geology and stay with the company I'm at.

I know if I get an engineering or geology degree the company will keep me and promote me pretty much on the spot but with the Botany or Tox. I am on my own. what do you guys think?
sorry for the length.
